Earlier this week, 73-year-old Pat White was "guilty" of minding her own business, working in the floral shop as she has done for decades. A valued person of the community who, through her creations, has shared in the joy of weddings, newborn babies, to lending a sympathetic ear for the loss of a customer's loved one as she prepared a funeral wreath and in between. Just a few days ago, she was robbed by two violent African predators who after robbing her for a meager $40.00, decided they would brutally beat her in a way that would forever change her life she's fortunate to still have.
The beating left her unconscious. The injuries include severe head injuries, several areas of bone around her eye, she may lose that eye. Ms. White will also need facial reconstruction. Not only is this so extremely upsetting to see, but looking at the police sketch of one of the savages, it could fit the description of thousands located in the Atlanta area. For them to be brought to justice would require either a DNA match or someone who knows they're responsible for this heinous act coming forward, which would likely require an incentive and anonymity. How many times to we have to hear "DIEversity is our greatest strength", knowing it is in fact, not? *Note* The original article published by the newspaper omitted descriptions of the suspects, WHY?
